On May 8th the Kill Rock Stars label will release New Moon, a double-disc of unreleased songs from singer-songwriter Elliott Smith recorded between 1994-1997. Three of these songs have been released before (on compilations), and bootleg versions of many of these songs have floated around for years, but now Elliott Smith fans will get the opportunity to hear the mastered studio recordings. A portion of the album sales will go to Outside In, a Portland-based organization serving homeless youth and low-income adults.
